MealTap started as a tool I needed for my own chaotic weeknights — and grew into something bigger.

I built MealTap because I was tired of deciding what to cook every night.

The problem was never a lack of recipes. It was the mental overhead of turning a busy evening into a dinner plan that still felt realistic. Most tools either asked for too much effort up front or dumped too many choices on the screen, which meant I was still doing the hard part myself.

The rebuild happened when it became clear that novelty was not enough. Early versions could generate ideas, but ideas alone do not get dinner on the table. So I rebuilt the recipe pipeline around weeknight reliability: clearer instructions, smarter ingredient overlap, realistic timing, and recipes that feel professionally edited instead of loosely generated.
